Crysten Moreland, PTA, CLT has always enjoyed studying the human body. The intricacy of the nervous, cardiovascular, and muscular systems have fascinated her from an early age. She received her Associates of Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Medical Careers Institute through ECPI University.
Her treatment philosophy is to treat the whole patient and she enjoys treating all patients. “Each person has a unique story with their individual life experiences. It is always a joy to interact with people while helping them heal and achieve their functional goals”, she says. “I also find great joy in working with my hands and this profession supports that desire”.
Crysten is also a certified Lymphedema Therapist with training in the Vodder technique, a form of manual lymph drainage when combined with the use of compression garments, is employed to assist the removal of lymph fluid from areas of the body containing a damaged lymphatic system.
When she isn’t working you can find her spending time with family and friends. You can also find her tending to her herb garden or sewing in her craft room.
When asked about the best advice ever received, Crysten says, “always focus on the happy moments in life and make the best of every situation. Each experience is a life lesson learned”.
