Brittni Maurer, PTA grew up in the military, but spent the most time in North Carolina and Virginia. She graduated from ECPI University with her PTA license in March of 2016. Her treatment philosophy is putting herself in others’ shoes. Brittni was a student athlete and played volleyball, softball, and basketball in high school, as well as basketball in college. In 2009, Brittni tore her ACL and went to physical therapy three times a week. She knew that it would feel great when she could finally leave her crutches behind, and wants to share that feeling with patients.
Brittni can relate to patients at the Oyster Point Aquatic and Performance Center in Newport News, VA and share her recovery story to help them feel more comfortable with her. Her strong athletic background helps her connect more on that level with patients. She believes that hard work pays off and to never give up.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Brittni at the gym or the beach. She says the gym is her stress relief zone.
