Sarah Zeisler, PT, DPT, LSVT – BIG is from Norfolk and attended Old Dominion University with a major in Exercise Science. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Radford University.
Sarah believes that every patient deserves an individualized hands-on approach. “Patients can present with similar injuries but you have to understand each individual patient’s impairments and goals and build good rapport to create a plan that fits them” she says, in regards to treatment.
Sarah enjoys treating patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, and diagnoses from orthopedic to neurological. “I think every patient has left an impression on me and how I treat every day” she says. Sarah has also completed training in the LSVT-BIG program in an effort to continue her education and help patients suffering with Parkinson’s Disease.
Sarah was originally drawn to therapy by her sister-in-law, who is also a physical therapist. She worked as a PT tech while in undergrad and gives credit to amazing role models she met along the way who showed her what a rewarding career PT could be.
When she’s not in a clinic, you can find Sarah at the beach, out to eat, or at the movies. She loves to spend time with friends and family.
