Samantha Bruggeman, PT, DPT always knew that she wanted to work in the medical field. When she was in high school, it was her father who suggested that she should look into physical therapy. Soon after, she found herself attracted to the relationship that the therapists develop with the patients. “Seeing a patient multiple times a week allows me to get to know them on a more personal level and feel as though I can help the patient to make a real difference”, she says.
Samantha received both her Bachelors and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from Slippery Rock University, in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.
Samantha likes to incorporate a lot of manual techniques into treatment sessions. She feels that this, combined with appropriate exercise interventions, can leave a lasting impact on pain and function. She enjoys treating a variety of different patient populations, with a variety of ages and diagnoses.
Samantha is new to the Williamsburg area, and when she isn’t working in our Norge clinic, she enjoys exploring the area and all that there is to do here.
Samantha holds a Direct Access Certification through the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy allowing her to evaluate and treat patients without a prescription. As part of your healthcare team, Samantha will make an assessment of your condition and create a plan to start you on the road to wellness.
