Meredith Powroznik, PT, DPT grew up in Prince George, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Science as well as her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Radford University.
She was driven to the profession after her father had a skiing accident that ultimately ended his career. When she was a child, home health would come to her house and provide restoration after he received a knee replacement. She watched, first hand, and began to understand how much it really meant to help people regain independence after being hurt.
Meredith’s goal is to provide each patient with a successful and memorable experience during their rehabilitative process. She promises that she “will strive to continually enhance my knowledge in order to ensure the most efficient and effective treatments for my patients”. She loves patients that are motivated and willing to push themselves.
When she’s not in the clinic, you can find her somewhere on the water or in the woods. Her hobbies include bow fishing, waterskiing, hunting, soccer and the gym.
When asked about the best advice she’s ever received, Meredith says, “Never give up, always give it your best, don’t judge people before knowing their story, and remain humble – always”.
Meredith holds a Direct Access Certification through the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy allowing her to evaluate and treat patients without a prescription. As part of your healthcare team, Meredith will make an assessment of your condition and create a plan to start you on the road to wellness.
