Meg Gleim, PT, DPT, OCS is originally from Ohio and has been a physical therapist for over 25 years. She received her bachelors degree in physical therapy from Saint Louis University. She went on to receive her master’s in health science with emphasis on orthopedic physical therapy from the University of Indianapolis.
Over the years, Meg has adapted to many techniques, philosophies, and treatment options that she incorporates into her treatment plans. “Not every patient with the same diagnosis responds to a cookbook approach so I modify the treatment based on how the patient responds”, she says.
Meg enjoys working with patients who are motivated and want to get better. “Like all healthcare providers I became a PT to help people” she says. In the beginning of her career, helping people was getting rid of the pain or improving their mobility. Now she focused on helping people improve their function whether it is on the playing field or in their home. “I hope I am improving their quality of life”.
When not in the clinic, you can find Meg driving to various practices for her kids, sitting poolside, and attending swim meets. She also enjoys reading, cooking, running, and hanging out with her family.
Meg holds a Direct Access Certification through the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy allowing her to evaluate and treat patients without a prescription. As part of your healthcare team, Meg will make an assessment of your condition and create a plan to start you on the road to wellness.
