Kendall Smith PT, DPT, a native to Midlothian, received an undergraduate degree in psychology and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Having previously worked for Tidewater in 2009 while she was attending physical therapy school, Kendall is excited to return to and begin working in an outpatient setting again.
Kendall says, “I enjoy treating a variety of patients, though balance patients are of special interest to me.” She also enjoys working with high level athletes a passion that comes from her own experience as a competitive dancer in high school. During these year Kendall received physical therapy after a surgery was done to repair her foot and her enthusiasm for the physical therapy profession began.
Kendall wants “to help people return to their lives pre-illness/injury” just as she was able to due after the wonderful treatment she received. A treatment style which incorporates “using manual therapy techniques in conjunction with therapeutic exercises and modalities as appropriate to maximize function.”
Her love of sports doesn’t stop outside of the physical therapy office. She enjoys going to the gym and playing recreational sports including dodge ball, kickball, and softball. Kendall is also a fan of watching her favorite teams play, the VCU Rams and the Redskins.
