Kelly Nixon, PT, DPT is originally from Morgantown, West Virginia and a graduate of West Virginia University.
She decided to become a physical therapist after she suffered a knee injury in high school. She saw the impact that therapists could make on helping people. This influence is what she uses every day in her practice. She enjoys treating patients and strives to keep them motivated to return to prior level of function. “I like to create a personalized program for each patient and provide them with the tools they need to continue to make progress”, she says.
When Kelly is not in the Iron Bridge clinic, you can find her outside, running, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
Kelly holds a Direct Access Certification through the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy allowing her to evaluate and treat patients without a prescription. As part of your healthcare team, Kelly will make an assessment of your condition and create a plan to start you on the road to wellness.
