Chad Goudy, PT, DPT, CMTPT originally from Greensboro, NC received his undergraduate degree in microbiology from North Carolina State University. He then moved to Richmond, VA to attended Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College of Virginia where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Prior to joining Tidewater, Chad worked as an actor in North Carolina and New York City along with working in food service for 15 years.
Chad made the decision to become a physical therapist because he felt it was “…the best profession to effect real change in the health of individuals through instruction and hands –on care while also providing the opportunity to connect concepts in healthy living to a patient’s individual lifestyle.”
He especially enjoys treating all patients as long as they are willing to be a part of the rehabilitation process with him.
“I view patients as a whole, a combination of body and lifestyle as opposed to injured limbs and painful sites. I strive to appreciate the body as a functioning unit when assessing and addressing their needs in our clinic.”
Outside of the office, Chad enjoys spending time with his wife as well as food, theater, film, cycling, film, basketball, and boxing.
Chad lives by the advice: Entertain the possibility that you can do and be anything you wish.
