Tidewater Physical Therapy is pleased to announce that it is now accepting patients at its newest location in Richmond, the Westchester Commons Clinic in Midlothian.
Located at 15757 WC Main Street in the Westchester Commons shopping district, the Westchester Commons clinic offers women’s health services, typical orthopedic care, including treatment for neck and back pain, total joint replacement and sports injury rehabilitation.
The clinic, Tidewater Physical Therapy’s twelfth in the Richmond region, is open Monday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“We’re extremely proud to open this clinic and be able to serve patients in a location that’s convenient to professional and personal time,” said Westchester Commons’ Clinical Director, Amanda Tolbert, PT, DPT, PRPC. Tolbert previously served as a clinician at Tidewater Physical Therapy’s Powhatan Clinic near Richmond. “The location is ideal as Westchester Commons’ is quickly becoming a pivotal business area in the community. We’re also looking forward to getting more involved and have been very warmly welcomed by the neighboring businesses.”
In addition to treating general orthopedic patients, Tolbert has experience working with women suffering from pelvic pain, incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse. She has a special interest in treating injuries of the lower extremity, particularly those that are sports-related.
Tolbert takes a holistic approach to her physical therapy practice that combines a balance of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and individualized patient education to bring each patient back to their maximal level of functioning.
Knowing that patients can heal better and faster when they can get into a physical therapy clinic in a place that’s convenient and at a time that works around their schedule has long been a key part of Tidewater Physical Therapy’s dedication to clinical excellence and the core of its belief in access, said Jeff Verhoef, PT, MBA.
“Access, which means being open early, late and through lunch, as well as being conveniently located in areas where people live and work, is absolutely a driver for us,” said Verhoef, Tidewater Physical Therapy’s Chief Executive Officer. “Research shows that the sooner we can involve a patient in an active, dynamic physical therapy program – get them access to therapy – the better chance they have for successful outcomes.”
Tidewater Physical Therapy is also “providers for every major insurance company except one,” Verhoef said.
