‘Healthy Movement In The Workplace’ – Peninsula Chamber Lecture Series

Ever leave the office stiff, tight and with a pain in the neck?

On April 14, from 12 to 1 p.m., Michael McFarland, PT, DPT, CMTPT and Reina Chaperon, PT, DPT, both of Tidewater Physical Therapy, will present “Healthy Movement in the Workplace” at the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce’s (VPCC) monthly Pink Bag Lunch. Their focus will be specifically on incorporating movement into the everyday workday, tips to prevent lower back and neck pain, and the importance of movement and ergonomics.

The lunch is scheduled to begin at noon and includes 10 minutes of business networking where members are encouraged to make business connections and distribute business cards.

Lunch will be provided by one of VPCC’s 2015 Catering Sponsors. The cost of the event is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.

Members attending are encouraged to also bring business handouts, giveaways and goodie bags to display on a table in the front lobby of the VPCC. Attendees can pick up any information at their convenience.

ABOUT MICHAEL McFarland, PT, DPT, CMTPT

Michael McFarland is the Clinical Director of Tidewater Physical Therapy’s Magruder clinic in Hampton.  A Virginia native, having grown up in Yorktown, Michael earned his undergraduate and Doctorate degrees at Old Dominion University. McFarland continues his education seeking additional certifications in Dry Needling and Vestibular therapy.

ABOUT REINA CHAPERON, PT, DPT

Reina Chaperon is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Florida. She works in the Magruder clinic in Hampton and specializes in vestibular and fall and balance therapies while practicing comprehensive physical therapy as well.
