Tidewater Physical Therapy is pleased to announce the addition of new Marketing and Community Outreach Coordinator Ben Chambley to its team.
Chambley joined the Tidewater family on Jan. 4 with the primary function of building relationships in the community with physicians, senior living facilities and nonprofit organizations, such as the American Red Cross and the YMCA.
“It’s about communicating our goals and our core values within the community,” Chambley said.
A native of Alabama, Chambley graduated from Auburn University in 2010 with a degree in public administration. He has spent the last five years building a career in marketing, working with Reynolds American, the American Red Cross and Elecrostim Medical Services, Inc. He worked for a year as a sales manager with Elecrostim Medical Services before returning to Reynolds American as a territory marketing manager, but Chambley found he missed working in the healthcare industry.
When the position with Tidewater Physical Therapy opened up, Chambley pursued the chance to get back to working in the healthcare field.
“I knew I had a love for the healthcare industry,” he said. “I wanted to get back to my passion and that is what led me to Tidewater.”
Chambley hopes to better connect Tidewater’s clinical staff to the community with the goal of giving more patients access to quality physical therapy. The more familiar physicians, nonprofits and care facilities are with the practice and the benefits of physical therapy, the more likely it is patients will get the help they need, he said.
“We are the hometown practice,” he said. “The owners all live here, work here. They set the precedent for where we want to go. We are the hometown physical therapy clinic, but we also offer therapy that is second to none within whatever Hampton Roads locality a physician refers their patients to.”
Chambley is based out of the practice’s Chesapeake office and lives in Virginia Beach with his wife. He is looking forward to playing a role in the great patient care Tidewater Physical Therapy is known for.
“It’s exciting,” he said. “Everybody is working together. We’re all on the same team.”
