Physical therapy patients now have even more access to clinicians to keep and get their bodies moving thanks to Tidewater Physical Therapy, which opened its 13th clinic in the Richmond region this month.

Officially opening in early July and now accepting new patients, the Scott’s Addition clinic in Richmond is located at 3100 West Marshall Street, at the corner of Summit Avenue.

“We have grown successfully in the RVA since 2003 and hope to continue to meet patients’ needs in our new location closer to the Fan, Northside and the downtown area,” said Scott’s Addition Clinical Director Bruce Brewer, PT, MSPT, CMTPT, who has been with Tidewater Physical Therapy in Richmond since it launched its first clinic more than a decade ago. “As always, immediate access to care, convenient hours and parking – yes, off street parking in the city! – and great hands-on personalized care is the foundation of our Scott’s Addition location.”

The clinic features 10-minute complimentary injury screenings for the community, comprehensive orthopedic physical therapy services, neurological rehabilitation, custom orthotics, balance and fall prevention programs, vestibular rehabilitation and dry needling.

“In addition to our traditional PT services, this location will serve as our Work Performance hub with dedicated space and services geared to the injured worker,” Brewer said, explaining that those services include work conditioning and Functional Capacity Evaluations.

Clinicians at Scott’s Addition as well as all Tidewater clinics are Direct Access certified, enabling them to treat patients without a referral from a physician.

In addition to Brewer, Naomi Miller, PT, DPT, CSCS also treats patients at Scott’s Addition.

“Tidewater Physical Therapy is dedicated to clinical excellence, emphasizing manual and hands-on care, along with functional exercise programs to help return people back to their full activities as quickly and safely as possible,” said Kevin Dintino, Tidewater Physical Therapy’s Chief Clinical Operation Officer and the Richmond Regional Director. “Scott’s Addition is undergoing a major revitalization and Tidewater Physical Therapy is very excited to be part of that process and this great community.”
