Ryan Eastridge Joins Tidewater Physical Therapy In Gloucester, VA

After sustaining his own sports injury and experiencing the power of physical therapy, Ryan Eastridge pursued his own PT career and brings that passion to patients on the Virginia Middle Peninsula.

Lynchburg College and before joining Tidewater Physical Therapy completed clinical rotations at several outpatient therapy clinics including Physiotherapy Outpatient, Rehab Associates of Central Virginia, Outpatient and Heartland Outpatient and Medical Facilities of America Skilled Nursing Facility.

An athlete himself, Eastridge specializes in treating sports injuries. In fact, sports led Eastridge to pursue a career in physical therapy.

Eastridge played soccer, football and basketball in high school and continued playing basketball in college, where he sustained his own sports injury and needed physical therapy himself.

In addition to manual therapy, prescribed exercises and developing individual treatment plans, Eastridge said he works to care for each patient as if they were a member of his own family, extending compassion and a friendly, personable approach to each interaction.

When he’s not treating patients, Eastridge enjoys working out and staying active.

He prides himself on staying involved in the community.

Located at 6970 Fox Hunt Lane in the heart of Gloucester’s historic Courthouse District – called the Gloucester Village on Main Street – the Gloucester Courthouse Clinic offers Comprehensive Physical Therapy Services, Lower Extremity Biomechanical Evaluation & Treatment, Certified Orthopedic Specialists, Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) treatment, Certified Hand Therapy, Neurological Rehabilitation, Balance and Fall Prevention, Custom Orthotics, Work Conditioning, Work Hardening and Work Performance Services, and personal and sports performance trainers at the adjoining Performance Center.

Many of the physical therapists at Tidewater Physical Therapy, including Eastridge, hold Direct Access Certification through the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy allowing them to evaluate and treat patients without a prescription. As part of a healthcare team, a physical therapist will make an assessment of a patient’s condition and create a plan to start on the road to wellness. The Tidewater Physical Therapy team will communicate with a patient’s physician or dentist of record and obtain a referral, if necessary, for continued treatment. Tidewater Physical Therapy will also work with insurance carriers to make sure services are covered by a patient’s plan.
