Ryan joined Tidewater in 2014, after completing physical therapy school at Lynchburg College. While in school, Ryan performed clinical rotations at several outpatient therapy clinics, including Physiotherapy Outpatient, Rehab Associates of Central Virginia Outpatient and Heartland Outpatient, as well as Medical Facilities of America Skilled Nursing Facility.
Originally from Sterling, Virginia, Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree from Roanoke College, and specializes in treating athletes and sports injuries. He is an athlete himself, having played soccer, football and basketball in high school, and continuing with basketball through college. During this time, he sustained an injury that left him requiring physical therapy. It was then that he decided to become a PT himself.
Ryan treats each patient as if they were a member of his own family, extending compassion and a friendly, personable approach to each interaction. When he’s not treating patients, he enjoys working out and staying active. He is also involved in his community, and has coached boys’ high school basketball in his spare time.
