PT Profile: Matthew Brennan
Matthew Brennan, PT, DPT received his undergraduate degree in Health Science from James Madison University, a Master’s Degree in U.S. History from Virginia Tech and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University. Today, Matthew treats patients in Tidewater Physical Therapy’s Glen Allen clinic near Richmond.
In addition to general orthopedics disorders, Matthew focuses on manual therapy, shoulder pain in overhead athletes as well as vestibular and balance disorders. He has received extensive training in the Maitland technique of manual therapy and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
In his spare time, Matthew enjoys weight training, baseball and playing music.
“A therapist’s goal is two-fold: helping to improve the individual’s quality of life through addressing impairments but also educating and empowering the individual so they can become an equal partner in this process.”
