PT Profile: Gita Dhir
Gita Dhir, MS, MPT, received her undergraduate degree in biology in 1989, and Master’s Degree in Applied Molecular Biology in 1993 from the University of Maryland.
She worked in gene therapy research prior to obtaining a Master’s of Physical Therapy degree from Old Dominion University in 1996 and joining Tidewater Physical Therapy, where she practices at the Kempsville clinic in Norfolk.
Gita has practiced in a variety of settings including in-patient rehab, home health and outpatient orthopedic clinics. 
She has a special interest in both the use of manual techniques for soft tissue and joint mobilization and in the mechanical approach to treating the spine.
Gita is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys surfing, skiing, volleyball, camping and mountain biking in her free time.
