Office Hours

Most of our offices are open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, office hours vary for each location. Please call the appropriate office for specific hours of operation or special request. We are closed on New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Appointments

Every attempt is made to schedule appointments according to the patient's needs. It is required to have a referral from a physician. At the time of the initial appointment, Tidewater Physical Therapy, Inc. will do our best to verify insurance coverage and obtain verification and authorization for treatment. A parent or legal guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 18 at the time of their appointment.

What to Bring to an Appointment

• A written referral from a physician or dentist
• Current insurance information and cards
• Co-pay and deductible payments
• Any insurance required referral number
• A list of medications you are currently taking
• Comfortable clothing depending on body part being treated

As a convenience to our patients, we will file all insurance claims, primary and supplementary, using our computer system. Patient's insurance companies and our office can make mistakes and it requires the assistance of all three parties to make the process go smoothly. No one will be denied services based on their inability to pay at the time of service. Please do not hesitate to ask for information regarding insurance coverage and payment plans. In general, we do not send bills to the patient until the insurance company has made all appropriate payments. We process overpayment refunds on a monthly basis.
