Sports Specific Training
For athletes seeking to improve performance in a specific sport we offer a customized program designed to enhance the particular physical skills needed by an athlete for his or her chosen sport. A sports specific program may include elements of plyometrics, intervals, sprint training and other exercises tailored to meet the specific physical requirements of your sport.


Transition Program
From Physical Therapy to Specialized Personal Training
This program answers the question, “I feel great, but what can I do to feel better?” We understand that it takes hard work and commitment to recover from an injury. Once full recovery is achieved many patients look for a way to continue their progress, improve their overall fitness level and to maintain an injury-free lifestyle.

Personal Training
If your goal is to improve body composition, achieve weight loss, increase your strength and endurance or achieve good cardiovascular health a traditional personal training program may be right for you. Education and motivation are the keys to a successful exercise program. Todd DeForest, CSCS will design a customized personal training program to compliment your lifestyle and workout preferences and motivate you to achieve your goals.

Specialized Personal Training Services are offered at the Hidenwood office of Tidewater Physical Therapy located at 12655 Warwick Blvd, Suite B, Newport News and are open to the general public. To schedule your first personal training visit please contact us at (757) 599-5551.

Your initial visit includes a comprehensive fi tness evaluation:

The number of sessions that you meet with your personal trainer is up to you. Some find that once a week provides enough motivation to keep moving towards their goal; while others choose 2 – 3 sessions each week to maximize performance for their chosen sport.

Payment is accepted before each session. Cash, personal check, VISA or MasterCard is accepted.
