Andrea Katz joined Tidewater Physical Therapy in 2007 as the Clinical Director of the John Rolfe clinic.   She received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she later returned to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007. 

Ms Katz began her career conducting exercise performance research while earning her Master of Arts in Exercise Physiology from the University of Texas, and as a fellow at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.   Today, this experience is seen in her treatment philosophy, utilization of manual therapy techniques and exercise based approach to help patients achieve their functional goals. 

Andrea has a special interest in treating disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine and is certified in the internationally recognized McKenzie method of mechanical assessment.   In addition, she has specialized training in treating the TMJ and ergonomic workstation assessment.   A former professional racquetball player, and now a serious recreational athlete, Andrea enjoys backpacking, cycling, golf, and playing with her yellow lab, Kodi.
