Karen Kovacs, MPT, received her undergraduate degree in education from Christopher Newport University in 1988. She taught for 11 years in both public and private schools. In 2001, Ms. Kovacs completed the Master of Physical Therapy program at Midwestern University. Karen joined Tidewater Physical Therapy, Inc. in 2004 when she relocated to Gloucester to be closer to family and to work in a smaller, closer-knit community. Karen has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of cervical and lumbar spine dysfunction, as well as, physical therapy interventions for cancer patients.  In her free time, Karen enjoys running and biking. She also volunteers at the Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic.
